Catalog

The Arab American National Museum (AANM) Library catalog is maintained by the Detroit Area Library Network (DALnet) via the Horizon ILS.

Collection

The AANM Library collection specializes in anything written by or about Arab Americans, as well as Audio/ Visual media created by or about Arab Americans. The Library also has a small "Arab World/ Arab Studies" collection. Circulation is limited to AANM Members only but the also Library serves as a public reading room for non-members and visitors to the museum. Staff is also available for research and reference to the general public.

Community Resource Directory

The AANM Library also maintains an online Community Resource Directory through their ILS. This directory has contact information and details about Arab American services, organizations and artists.

Locations and Hours

From I-94 take the Michigan Avenue exit and head west. From M-39/ Southfield Freeway take the Michigan Avenue exit and head east.

As of April 5, 2010 the current hours for the AANM Library are:

  • Mon-Wed: Closed
  • Thursday: 10 AM to 5 PM
  • Friday: 10 AM to 6 PM
  • Saturday: 10 AM to 6 PM
  • Sunday: 12 PM to 5 PM
